We really love our NoCry gloves with toughened fingers and a sturdy face shield. The gloves fit well, and you can definitely notice the added strength on the fingers. The face shield does a great job of keeping flying debris (like wood chips) at bay and is comfy to wear.

This brand produces a tough kneepad. I rely on their gear every day on the job as an HVAC technician.

Now, about the gloves I got—they might be cut resistant (not that I've tried to test that out), but they don't really shine when it comes to woodcarving. First off, you gotta buy a pair instead of just one, which isn't a big deal, but feels a bit wasteful. The main issue is that they tend to be a bit 'fuzzy.' Wood chips cling to them, and the carving piece you're working with can get stuck in the glove.
